Amber is an experienced psychologist who provides practical strategies and approaches to move through concerns, face life’s challenges with resilience, achieve relief from symptoms, understand and effectively manage emotions and behaviours, improve relationships with others, and the opportunity for children, adolescents, young people and adults of all ages to realise their full potential to live enriching lives.

Amber has broad experience in the assessment and treatment of a range of psychological, emotional and adjustment difficulties. She pays particular attention to mood dysregulation patterns and the role of early parent-child relational attachment in self-concept, social interactions, family dynamics, life transitions and upheaval. She has an interest in:

  • childhood concerns with developmental disorders or mood including anxiety, adjustment, anger, depression, poor concentration, sleep, food allergy;
  • issues relating to women’s health, pregnancy, parenting including low or fluctuations in mood, feelings of stress, anxiety, frustration, confusion or being overwhelmed;
  • distress and difficulty managing or coping with a serious health condition or or chronic illness;
  • challenges caring for a partner, family member or close friend who has ill-health, a disability, or is elderly, leading to feelings of sadness, grief, guilt, stress, worry, frustration or burnout;
  • low self-esteem or recurring negative emotions, such as sadness, worry, irritability, anger, poor distress tolerance, social withdrawal or other complex feelings which interfere with relationships, goals or purpose;
  • concerns within significant relationships, including difficulties with communication, conflict, lack of meaningful connection, closeness, trust or intimacy, grief and loss.
